Weather you have arrived here by searching or invitation, I welcome you to my piece of the internet.
My friends call me Zaq. I’ve spent most of my life playing with photography, and working with photography professionally, leading me into learning and becoming an expert with all that Photoshop has to offer, along with Illustrator and a multitude of other creative and professional software programs that lend their hands to being a Creative Professional.
Currently, I am working on developing Avista Media, bringing the brand to a stronger potential that represents quality and value.
Photography and Video are some of my favorite forms of artistic expression! My experience includes Modeling Photography, Stage & VIP Photography, Estate & Property Photography and Project Photography. I’m an expert with Photoshop and have the ability to compose and capture excellent portraits on the fly as well as being able to photograph event guests and groups with almost no intrusion, and often contributing to their experience. I also enjoy capturing the moments of events in a journalistic style that are captivating and expressive. Any production company or band that would like to have a dedicated and professional Stage & VIP Photographer that understands what “discretion” means and knows their way around the backstage and onstage areas, please ask me for some samples of my VIP work. Of course I’m available for simple Photography & Creative projects as well.
I’ve recently added Aerial Video and Photography to my list of services. Being offered only as a separate package. I will be looking for strong and creative projects to work with on a seasonal schedule. You’ll soon be seeing some slick developments on my YouTube Channel soon.
You’ll find me working with Event Productions. Along with photography, I have spent most of my working life mixed up somewhere in the world of event production. I work mostly with the Production Staff, like the Lighting Designer, Sound Engineer, Video Production Crew, Set Carpenters, Backline Crews, Production Touring Staff and Techs all behind the scenes, setting up staging, lighting, video, sound, decor and all kinds of cool concert and event stuff that makes them so amazing. I like to say that “We build Awesome!”. I’ve had the opportunity to travel with crews, bands and freelanced with more than a hundred production companies on thousands of events. I’m always meeting and working with some of the finest Production Industry specialists alongside some of the most genuine and creatively talented individuals that define great character. I still get to meet and hang out with artists and other fancy titled people, enjoying the friendly conversations about whatever. I am open to a touring position that will not compromise who I have become and will benefit from my standard for excellence, one that will challenge my technical and creative skills while taking my experience to the next level.
As an Audio Engineer, I’ve installed and run concert audio systems, theater systems, and outdoor concert systems. I’ve assisted in recording studios and live recording projects. I’m fluent with operating audio consoles, speaker management systems, audio dynamic processing and outboard gear. I’m also fully capable of managing Monitor Systems for Stage Wedges and In-Ear Systems. I am a Licensed Amateur Radio Operator as well, meaning that I am well educated and experienced with Radio and Wireless theory and systems. My favorite choices for audio include the Studer, Midas, and some of the latest Yamaha Digital consoles; for output I love the way Clair, Meyer and LAcoustics produce sound.
My Video Production experience includes the installation and operation of Video Production gear from Corporate Events to Large Format Concert Projection and Video-Wall Systems. Camera setup and operation is also part of the work I’ve enjoyed in event production.
Most of all, I enjoy fostering relationships and friendships with the people I work with, and do what I can to understand and make the best of the ones that just don’t seem to work. Being very organized and enjoy designing and implementing new and innovative solutions to special projects, whether they are a complicated blend of various systems, complex arrangements of similar systems or simple “common sense” projects. I am more than happy to apply my skills where ever they may help and am always excited about learning new disciplines. I see the blueprint of how things need to be done, allowing me to prioritize, organize and effectively manage tasks with a strong sense of urgency mixed with kindness and encouragement. I firmly believe to understand something, we must first experience it, and I look forward to committing myself to learning and experiencing whatever is needed to facilitate and maximize growth ad results.
I have had the pleasure to work with some of the most brilliant and inspiring people. Reaching a new position in life, I believe that my skills would be extremely beneficial in leading roles where my professionally creative mindset can meet the demands of a challenging position with courage and enthusiasm. My concepts and techniques have been refined through my diverse experiences in the event production industry, reflecting my unique and engaging personality, use of technologies and techniques, and the application of creative thought with the intention to raise the standards of quality.
